The Glen Cole Design

The first custom design Dunberry Hill created 10 years ago.
It was named for my client Glen Cole who helped to create it.
We fashioned it after the Pierre Deux kitchen curtains she had. It still is one of my favorite designs and still very popular! More photos on my web site.

New Cathy Mires Design

The newest design to Dunberry Hill floorcloth Designs!. The Cathy Mires Design, this design was created  just for Cathy's new kitchen. We took the scroll elements from her tile, the terra cotta color,the fabric design from her chairs. A lot of small details, time and patience created this beautiful floorcloth for her new home in N.C.

Peabody Essex Museum

The Tile and Dot Design created for the Peabody Essex Museum's Ropas Mansion. Will be on display in the dinning room of the mansion located actually in Salem MA. An old historic mansion owned by 3 generations of the Ropas family. It has quite the history and  is mentioned to be  the most haunted house in Salem!....Worth the visit.....

THE ROSE MARINER COMPASS

A very tried and true design, loved my many.......It's new home will be in Vermont, in a hallway with many  doors. Another really great application for a floorcloth. It is very thin, ideal in circumstances where doorways have a very  low clearance.Surprisingly a very common problem.

Protecting the wood floors

The Venetian Tile design in a 9 x 14 ft floorcloth. The beautiful thing about floorcloths is that they not only bring the whole rooms decor together, they are going to protect the lovely wood floors you have. Placing them in some of the most highly traffic areas of your home aka the dinning room under the table! Food for thought!

Floorcloth Rug Rally!

A little back logged on Blogging.......

It's hard to Blog regularly I either forget entirely or my fingers freeze on the keys trying to think of what to blog....like now...:)...

Life seems to hit a crescendo  ....New Years... and then boom, we all sink back to normal routines and life seems to wallow a bit ..I hibernate with Winter the recent deep freeze made me want to stay in even more....I have recently been planning a trip with 5 other women (school mates from high school) . I'm  sort of the travel planner and we've decided on Hilton Head for a week this Summer. I've been
gleaming over all the available condo/villas for rent. If you've been you know what I mean. It's definitely helping me with a boost thru this Winter freeze .....

Inspired by a warm vacation in my future I'm  creating my Winter  Newsletter  with news of my "First Annual (if successful) Floorcloth Rug Rally"  . What you ask is that .....it's a tease because you have to sign up for my newsletter to read all about it. All I can say is it's some GREAT deals on floorcloths for a very short time!

MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE TO DATE

This floorcloth has been made for a great client of mine who constantly challenges me . We just redid her living room and this is the new motif . She sent me material and this is the floorcloth I've created for her WOW!!!! even blows me away....

Perfect for the Summer Cottage

The Rose Mariner Compass Design

The perfect floorcloth design  for a Summer cottage on the Cape
wouldn't you say. Johnnie knew the colors she wanted we did a few  test  samples before we got the best combinations she was looking for. The light blue  punch in the center and the mix of the 2 greens
on the outer border gave the floorcloth the needed accents she was looking for.
Couldn't think of a better place for it then a Summer white washed
cottage on the Cape ....

Matching Wallpaper

Open Studio

OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND

Voila.....17 ft of  The Glen Cole Design part II.....
"Exquiste"  was the clients comment back to me....
Nothing like the feeling of hand making it from blank canvas
to this..
You question yourself a lot but over time I've developed a
feel for each one I make. I love it and wouldn't  ever
consider cutting corners to make one......a true artist and quality products are my style!

Starting same pattern in a 8 x 9 so stay tuned!

17 ft runner on the new extension

The new extension to my smaller work table is working perfectly for
this 17 ft runner.
The client has chosen The Glen Cole Design with a new twist
I guess I'll have to call it " The Glen Cole 2"
